Frequently Asked Questions About Buying a Puppy:
1. How Do I Contact You About a Specific Puppy?
If you’ve fallen in love with one of our adorable puppies, please contact us via our contact form or call our team. We will gladly provide you with all of the information you require, including breed information, personality traits, and availability.
2. Can I Come and Look at the Puppies Before Making a Decision?
Absolutely! We encourage potential puppy parents to come to our kennels and spend time with the puppies. It’s important to connect with the puppy and ensure that its personality matches what you are looking for.
If you would like to submit your details to our waiting lists for future litters of a specific breed, please contact us if you would like to be informed via email of their availability.
3. What Kind of Care do the Puppies Receive at Douglas Hall Kennels?
As responsible breeders, we prioritise the health and well-being of all of our puppies. We have weekly visits from our vet and once puppies reach 9 weeks old, they are thoroughly health-checked and receive their first vaccine, worming, flea treatment, and are microchipped.
We help to socialise all puppies from a young age, which ensures that they are well-adjusted and ready for their new homes. Find out more about how to socialise your puppy in our article.
4. Do You Offer any Additional Support to New Puppy Owners?
Absolutely! We believe that bringing a new puppy into your home is only the beginning of a lifelong adventure. We provide new owners with comprehensive guidance and support, including nutrition advice, training tips, and puppy care. Our goal is to make the transition as easy as possible for both you and your new pet.
5. Do You Have an Aftercare Process?
Yes, we ensure every puppy and its new owner continues to receive all the necessary support once they are in their new home to ensure both are happy and healthy. We even offer to take back your pup if things don’t work out if you also provide the vet’s vaccination card. Our team will offer a full refund less a £30 handling/admin fee. However, the amount you are reimbursed depends on how old your puppy is.
